Working at a government agency for over fifteen years, I recognize the need for long term help for the community. Many residents are one check away from homelessness (living with friends and family,on the streets or in a shelter). Realizing the plethora of services that are available in the county, and the void that I will fill linking individuals with these services it motivated me to open Nataki's House with the intent to help individuals reach their goals.
As a Registered Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse for over 25 years, everyday Dr. Samuels sees the toll abuse takes on the body. I solicited her help with teaching nutritional classes in our program. Dr. Samuels is also certified in homeopathy and will infuse natural alternatives in the program.
Committed to helping the children and parents get and stay better,Dr. Samuels volunteers her time to help plan and develop the Life Management program and Wellness coaching.
Ms. Stinson’s nursing career has spanned over two decades as well as multiple states and concentrations. From schools to nursing homes, bedside and operating room, nurse management, as well as chemical dependency nursing, Ms. Stinson has learned so much about people. Having the desire to help people help themselves through a different venue, Ms. Stinson decided to become a life coach. After getting the credentials needed, she began aiding people to transform their lives by setting and achieving goals. Ms. Stinson has volunteered to work with Dr. Samuels in the Life Management Services department in order to change lives at Nataki’s House.
Ms. Dunn is a Human Services professional with over 15 years of policy interpretation and anaylsis experience. She understands the delicate balance of providing customer service to community stakeholders but enforcing regulations simultaneously to ensure program compliance.
Ms. Dunn has years of experience in revenue, data and federal regulations and she will be able to use this experience in Nataki's House. Coaching and Mentoring staff, as well as her expertise in the area of Professional Development and Training makes her a valuable asset to the organization.
Mrs. Hazelwood has been an event planner for over 14 years. Working in customer service over 20 years, she combines attention to detail with great customer service. After working with Mrs. Hazelwood and attending events of hers, I saw the passion that she has for her event business. I spoke with Mrs. Hazelwood about the organization and she explained various aspects that I overlooked. I solicited Mrs. Hazelwood to work with Nataki’s House to ensure we have a professional, polished look via published content as well as community and fundraising affairs.
Being a senior in High School, Marcus hears on a daily basis what effects his peers and see how some react (either implode or explode) based on the lack of positive outlets. He wishes to make a place where teens and younger can talk and get opinions from people that they feel will understand and not judge them or make the conversation feel awkward.
Marcus is a student athlete, involved in church, works, and still finds time to hang with friends (after chores) so we felt that Marcus can lead by example. Using his skills, Marcus will be able to match students with peers that will be beneficial to them.
