We are a nonprofit organization focused on helping the residents of the community reach their ultimate goal of being successful. We give the tools necessary to reach this goal in a wholistic way as long as the resident is open to change, understand there is a process to getting to their goal, and willing to put in the work needed to reach the goal.
Even with government assistance (Medicaid, and Food and Nutrition services), there are certain staples that the residents still can't afford. Nataki's House is always accepting donations of dry pantry items such as toiletries, paper products, diapers, or any other non food items. We will also have seasonal drives (clothes, box fans, heaters, back to school).
Continuing with our mission to rebuild the village, Nataki's House Phase two will be to secure housing for residents of the community that are not defined as homeless. These are residents living with friends, family or hotels, that are working but cannot afford to pay rent and save deposits (utilities and rent deposits).
We are currently piloting a home program- Second Chance Realty. This program will help residents find private owners that will rent to them, as well as working with the residents to learn to budget and buy homes in the near future.
We currently have three families in this pilot.
